I just came across one of your blogs that was published in 2011 regarding the ancestors of Charles Dickens. I am an ancestor of him, he would be my great, great, great, great grandad!
My Grandma still has the Dickens surname.
We’re from Northampton, which I believe there are some documents about some of the members of the Dickens family being around this area.
I’ve just read your comment regarding whether or not Charles Dickens had family in Northampton. I believe he did as we have had four generations of Dickens live here that I am aware of.
Hi, I hears that Lucy Dickens witch died in 1992 was from England, her grand father was a Charles Dickens and she showed me an old rifle incribed Charles Dickens (the writer) with 1837 saying the he loved hunting and it was given to him
I believe one of Shakespear’s father’s sisters has ancestors -family name Webb has family that traces back to Shakespear’s grandparents………George (Skip) Laubach of Elgin, IL has a tree with information on Webb and the connect back and forward.
My mother has done an extensive genealogy research concerning our British and American family lines. I have taken much of what she had found and have tried to merge history with genealogy. My manuscript is bulky and messy. I understand from your website that your focus is England and since my father’s family came from there during the 1600’s, I thought I would reach out to you for help to make our family story a more cohesive story.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Best, Jeaninne Honstein
Hi Ros, sorry if I’ve sent you this twice by the way. I just want to research wether my Great grandfather was a Romani traveller, there has always been a possibility that my Great grandmother was Romani, but I want to find out whether specifically my Great Grandfather was or not.
