I have several levels of research service to suit your requirements, details of which are below.

Services 1 and 2 are mainly for those people who live outside of the UK and do not have access to UK search facilities.  However, of course you are quite welcome to use these services if you are a UK citizen!

1.  Initial UK Searches: $50  (approximately £30)

If you have a UK link in your ancestry and you just want to check it out and see if it’s worth following up, or if you just want to keep costs down to start with, this is the best service for you.  For a flat fee of $50 I will carry out just under 2 hours of initial searches , using the internet (census and civil registration indexes) and other resources that are available, and report back to you within a few days, letting you know whether there is further scope for research.

2.  Full UK ancestry package: $560 (approximately £350)

If you know that you have many UK ancestors, and are not sure where to start, this service will allow me to carry out a full UK search for a flat fee of $560.

  • Birth, marriage and/or death certificates researched online and ordered online.
  • All relevant census information researched online
  • International Genealogical Index researched online as a preliminary to researching local sources.
  • For all lines outside of Warwickshire, I will hire other genealogists to research local archives for parish register and other relevant sources.
  • Any Warwickshire lines will be researched personally by me at the Warwickshire Record Office
  • Full report typed up including all the work carried out and suggestions for further lines of research. * Photocopies and/or printouts of all relevant documents.

Flat fee for this service: $560 (If for any reason it is not possible to continue researches due to lack of informaton or availability of resources, etc, the balance of the fee after the initial searches will be refunded) To order either of these services I will need the following information:

  • Your name, email address and postal address
  • Where known, information about the line(s) you are tracing including, names, dates and places of birth, marriage and death, names of spouses, children and siblings.
  • What searches you have already carried out, if any.

3.  Hourly Search Service: $29 (£18) per hour.

If you have UK ancestors in Warwickshire, or you would just prefer to pay on an hourly, invoice basis, this is the service for you.  In this case, you decide how many hours you would like me to search for - giving you total control over how much you spend.
If your spending limit is over $160 (£100), however, I do require a 30% deposit paid in advance (preferably via Paypal for overseas clients).
